Which afternoon or evening snack would you choose?
YOUR CHOICE ME BE OUT OF YOUR CONTROL
What if I told you that regardless of what you want to choose most times your choice will be unconsciously determined by how much willpower you have already expended through the day.
It’s proven that willpower is not in unlimited supply.
Many of us just go on autopilot with the best intentions yet when we get home and go for the snack, we end up making the bad choice because our willpower has been spent. Gary Keller international Best Selling Author of the One Thing Book, said “Will Power is on will call, is a lie!”
GOOD NEWS, AWARENESS IS KEY!!
The good news is you no longer have to beat yourself up, the key is awareness. Once you have awareness you have options. You can choose to keep only healthy snacks in the house. That would be easy, however if you’re like me and have a 3 year old in the house then you will have unhealthy stuff in the house. The key in this case is to make a decision to only eat healthy and maybe one day a week you get to eat whatever you like.
CHANGE YOUR STORY, CHANGE YOUR HABITS!
Jairek Robbins, performance coach says, if you change your story, you can change your habits. Meaning we can change the story we have about diet, eating and exercise, goals or Oreo’s for that matter.
Their are many options, be creative(please share your creativity) but the first and main step is simple awareness!
I know we are talking about snacks but take a closer look and see where else you’e not making the best decisions because your willpower has been depleted.
